Iconic Scenes Filmed at Rannoch Moor

• The Death Eater Ambush (Deathly Hallows: Part 1): This is the most famous scene associated with the moor. In this sequence, Death Eaters board and search the Hogwarts Express while it is traveling across the bleak, boggy landscape.
• Dementor Attack (Prisoner of Azkaban): Some sources also note the moor's atmosphere was used to depict the landscape during the Dementor attack on the train in the third film.
• Horcrux Journey (Deathly Hallows: Part 1): The vast, marshy expanse provided a backdrop for Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s treacherous journey through the wilderness.

The Three Sisters of Glencoe are three iconic, steeply-sided mountain ridges located in the Glen Coe valley of the Scottish Highlands. The individual ridges, which are part of the larger Bidean nam Bian mountain massif, are named Beinn Fhada (Long Hill), Gearr Aonach (Short Ridge), and Aonach Dubh (Black Ridge). The Iconic Kelpies are a pair of monumental 30-meter-tall (98 ft) steel horse-head sculptures located in The Helix park, between Falkirk and Grangemouth, in Central Scotland. They are the largest equine sculptures in the world, designed by Scottish sculptor Andy Scott to honor Scotland's horse-powered industrial heritage.
